ISO 9001
Mercator d.o.o. uses a quality management system in compliance with the ISO 9001 standard. We have acquired the ISO 9001 certificate for the said standard. In addition to the above, we have acquired several other certificates that improve it further and which are presented under Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development.
Aim of the certificate
In line with the ISO 9001 standard, we have developed and introduced a quality management system for each trading company within the Mercator Group in order to recognise and fulfil the requirements and expectations of customers to the greatest possible extent.
The system introduces identification and systematic documentation of business processes and a measurement, analysis and action system with the aim of improving operations. By introducing this, we are striving to streamline the business processes of the individual companies as well as to achieve uniformity among the Mercator Group companies and, consequently, the uniformity of their documentation.
History of acquiring the certificate
In 2000, Mercator d.o.o. became the first of the Mercator Group trading companies to acquire the ISO 9001 quality certificate. In the following years (by 2002), the said certificate was acquired by all Mercator companies in Slovenia, with the companies in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina following suit in 2004. Mercator’s trading company in Serbia acquired the ISO 9001 certificate in 2006.
The certificate was awarded by the Slovenian Institute of Quality and Metrology, which is an internationally accredited member of the IQNet Association.
